For OTs/SLPs...

http://psychcentral.com/news/2012/01/29/in-autistic-kids-thinking-in-words-improves-mental-flexibility/34220.html

I felt like this was a really interesting article....not the study per se, but just the idea that these children aren't talking things through internally. I may do this with some of my kids - while working on tasks, closing my eyes and having them explain what they are doing...or...I dunno. Must ponder.

Am working on my part of the upcoming social media presentation at AOTA conference.....

Hi there, I also found this a very interesting read. I am a 2nd year Occupational Thearpy student and we have an assignment to link with other blogs and comment - I have found your blog of great interest. I look forward to reading more.

Fantastic that you will be presenting at the AOTA conference. You are certainly the most prolific OT blogger I have found, I love reading your blog. I don't work with children but there is still always something interesting. The whole social media issue is becoming much bigger in our profession, so you are right there at the front! Good luck.

Lauren - thanks :) Ebby - awww. Are you coming to conference? I wish I did better at blogging more regularly....need to try to reach out to those who don't work with children, more often. I feel like your name is familiar since it is unique, have you commented before???
